After we sold our previous home in January 2018, we lived in our motor home for 11 months. Yes, you read that correctly.. we LIVED in our motor home for almost an entire year with our children and our dog! We had no idea how long it would be at the time because there still wasn’t anything on the market that we loved (I know, we are crazy), and when we finally found something in June that had everything we wanted, it turned out to be an insane renovation project that would last another 5 months. The one thing that kept me sane through all of this, is the fact that my parents have RV parking on the side of their house and we parked there for the bulk of this adventure. Although we did have access to all of the amenities inside of my mom’s house, we still slept and spent a lot of time in the motor home.
During our “motor home phase” of life, Kane turned 4, Quinn turned 1, Kane played his first season of t ball, and Quinn started walking. Even though our house wasn’t ready to live inside, we were able to enjoy our pool in the summer. With the amount of work that was done on our house, it was a miracle that we were able to move in before Christmas and I am so grateful for my handy and hardworking hubby for making it happen!
Here are some of my favorite photos from our journey.. most of them are cell phone shots so pardon the quality!
Living in such a small space for 11 months with a baby and a 4 year old, all while renovating a house was one of the most difficult things I’ve walked through. God brought be through it as a more patient wife and mother.
Would I do it again? Honestly… probably not. It was so hard! But I am happy to have grown from it once.
Until the next one,
